Jamie Moore, 2022 Ultimate Mountaineer Fan
Jamie has been dedicated to the gold and blue for over 70 years. Born and raised in West Virginia, this traveling Mountaineer has seen many bowl games over the years with his family of fellow WVU fans (including a cheerleader, a Mountaineer mascot and the wife of a Mountaineer). Jamie has also grown a massive collection of WVU memorabilia and gear that he shows off every chance he gets.

What is your favorite Mountaineer game you attended?
My favorite Mountaineer game was the 2012 Orange Bowl (WVU 70 Clemson 33).
Clemson fans had been so sure they would win!
In one word describe what being a Mountaineer means to you?
Determined
Share one Mountaineer fun fact about you.
My WVU fun fact would be that I have had season tickets for 40+ years.
My wife and I both graduated from WVU and our 3 children and their spouses
also. Currently our granddaughter is also attending. The family
loves to tailgate and attend the games, football and basketball.
What is your favorite WVU Athletics venue and why?
My favorite WVU athletic venue is Mountaineer Football stadium because the
crowd can be electrifying and really gets loud and involved.
Who is your favorite Mountaineer player (past or present)?
Jerry West
If you could go back and relive any Mountaineer moment, what would it be?
If I could relive a Mountaineer moment would be attending the 2012 Orange Bowl
and beating Clemson by 70-33. Their fans had completely emptied the
stadium before the end of the game! WVU was supposed to be a huge underdog!
If you attended a University, what school, what was your major and when did
you graduate?
I attended WVU 1967-1971 in the College of Agriculture and graduated with a
BS degree in Animal Science-Pre-Vet.
My first Mountaineer memory is…
My first Mountaineer memory was listening on radio and some limited TV as WVU
played the Southern Conference. I cheered for Jerry West, Willie Akers,
Bucky Bolyard, Ronnie Retton and others in the 1950’s.
Where do you currently live?
Fairmont, WV
What is the biggest "thing or event" you have missed to watch a WVU game?
T
he biggest thing I missed to watch a WVU game was when I was a member of the
National Veterinary Technician Exam Committee. I missed an exam session
to watch a WVU football game.
What is your favorite piece if WVU gear to wear when you are watching the Mountaineers?
My wife even teases me because I wear my flying WVU pants, gold shirt, gold
WVU hat and my WVU shoes to go to a game or watch it on TV.
