Get to Know Steven

What is your favorite Mountaineer game you attended?
WVU vs. #19 Louisville in 2005: Coming back to win in 3 overtimes after being down 24-7 in the 4th quarter makes it an all-time WVU classic.

In one word describe what being a Mountaineer means to you?
Family. When you wear the flying WV, you are instantly connected with thousands around the world.

Share one Mountaineer fun fact about you.
Due to my streak of going to every home football game since 2001, my wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary on the 1st bye week of each football season to avoid any scheduling conflicts. (She's the best!)

What is your favorite WVU Athletics venue and why?
A packed Mountaineer Field, under the lights. Night games in Morgantown are always special.

Who is your favorite Mountaineer player (past or present)?
Jevon Carter

If you could go back and relive any Mountaineer moment, what would it be?
Watching us beat UK in the Elite 8 to go to the 2010 Final Four and then celebrating by singing Country Roads with Coach Stewart and my family at a WVU bar in South Carolina.

If you attended a University, what school, what was your major and when did you graduate?
I attended WVU, Statler College of Engineering, Majored in Industrial Engineering, graduating in 2015.

My first Mountaineer memory is…
Attending WVU nursery school and playing tag with the WVU football players who would volunteer there.

Where do you currently live?
Morgantown, WV

What is the biggest "thing or event" you have missed to watch a WVU game?
Hard to say since my family and friends know to check the football and basketball schedules before planning major events.

What is your favorite piece if WVU gear to wear when you are watching the Mountaineers?
As a kid it was my Mike Gansey and Steve Slaton jerseys for basketball and football respectively, now it would be my WVU hat I designed for the Ultimate Mountaineer Fan contest when I won in 2015.
